Amboyna and Rosewood gentleman's travelling work box, mid-19th century, by Wilson & Sharp of Edinburgh, the box with brass mounts, recessed handles and engraved cartouche, opening to reveal dark blue leather fitted interior with removable mirror, and secret underdrawer with leather writing pad, with original leather outer case.  W34cm, L25cm, H19cm.

The box is in generally very good condition with a few very minor issues to include some minor splits to the crossbanded section of the rosewood veneer, very light scratching to the surface, minor tarnishing to the metal sections and some rubbing and wear to the leather interior. The exterior of its original leather case is in poor condition.
