New Hall dessert dish decorated with fruit sprays surrounded by leaf and flower swags, pale red border and gilt rim, of lobed oval form, the shape conforming to services decorated by Fidelle Duvivier. 31cm wide, c.1787/90. Prov. Witherick collection, Richards collection and Roderick Jellicoe. Possible alternative attribution to Enoch Wood.

Tiny chips to foot rim and some rubbing to gilding but otherwise very good.
