Pair of George III mahogany wine cisterns, on cupboard stands, the cisterns formed as urns with domed & fluted covers with pineapple finials, enclosing paktong liners, with gadrooned lips, waisted & fluted bodies & fluted & circular bases, one stand with three dummy drawers, the other with two pull drawers & cupboard, all with gilt metal loop handles, with crossbandings & satinwood stringing & reeded canted corners, raised on plinth bases. The urns 84cm high, 180cms overall height. Prov: Denys Wrey, 45 Sloane Street, 1969. (Partial sticker to the reverse of one cabinet that reads 'Curtis & Sons, possibly J.Curtis & Sons Leeds, illustrated)
