Thomson Roddick Scottish Auctions is one of Scotland’s leading independent firms of Auctioneers and Valuers with salerooms and offices in both Edinburgh and Dumfries.

Throughout the year both their salerooms are venues for catalogued sales of antiques, paintings, silver, jewellery, collectors items etc. producing illustrated catalogues which are available on line. They hold weekly sales of general and decorative items mainly from local estates. These include good quality second hand furniture and white goods.

The Edinburgh and Borders Auction Centre

The Edinburgh and Borders Auction Centre, hold specialist sales of Antiques, Oriental works of art, Scottish Provincial silver sales, Sporting and Fishing Accessories. Weekly sales are held every Thursday evening at 5pm. Viewing day of sale from 1pm.

The Dumfries Auction Centre, hold specialist sales of Antiques, Border Fine Arts, Beswick, Doulton and collectors items. Fortnightly general sales held every second Tuesday at 10.30am. On view the preceding Monday from 2pm and morning of sale.

Valuation Services
Our valuers are always pleased to give free auction estimates on any item brought to the salerooms or alternatively email us an image. We are also please to visit clients within the privacy of their own homes to offer presales advice.

Written valuations for insurance, inheritance tax, family division, capital gains tax and all other purposes are carried out by senior valuers.

Inheritance Tax Valuations
We aim to provide a swift and efficient service for executors, keeping administration to a minimum. We can arrange a prompt clearance of the property and will hold the items pending auction.

Valuation Days
